SportBilly: How to play

To play any of the Sportbilly.com events, you must create a user profile. Once you’ve read through the rules of the game below just click on the ‘Register’ tab and get started!

Then the rules of engagement are….

Once you’ve registered and logged in all you need to do is go to the ‘Competitions’ page and predict the score for each match displayed. Predictions can be submitted or changed anytime until the kick off of each match and you can predict as many or as few games as you want. Just remember though the fewer you predict the less chance you have of winning!

Points are awarded for each game as follows:

1 Point for predicting the correct number of goals scored by the home team
1 Point for predicting the correct number of goals scored by the away team
1 Point for predicting the correct result (i.e. Home Win, Away Win or Draw.)
2 Bonus points for predicting the correct result and number of goals scored by both teams
0 points for getting the result and number of goals scored by either side wrong.

The upcoming fixtures will be available to predict at the start of the season. These will be as intended at the start of the season, but please bear in mind that fixtures are sometimes re-arranged. When this happens, we will update the site as soon as possible.

Leagues

A weekly league competition will run from each Monday to Sunday. In other words the points scored by each player in any weekly round will be put into the weekly league table – accessible through the Competitions tab – with the winner at the end of each week being announced on the website.

Monthly league competitions will also run from the start to the end of a calendar month (i.e. 1^st September to 30^th September) and take account of the points scored by each player within that period. The monthly league table will show the up to date overall scores and the monthly winner will again be announced on the website.

Of course there’s the overall league table, again accessible through the Competitions tab, which will show the overall points total for each player taking account of all completed fixtures throughout the season

Please note there’s also the option to create your own personalized mini-league with other players whereby you can invite those people that you really want to compare yourself against! Just go to ‘My Leagues’ and select the option to ‘Add mini league’ under ‘Manage Mini Leagues’

Abandoned games

Abandoned games will be deleted from the fixture list and will not count towards any weekly or monthly leagues. These matches will be re-entered when the re-arranged date has been scheduled. No points will be awarded based on the score at the time of the abandonment.

What if I forget to predict?

Don't worry - for each fixture you miss, your predicted score-line will become 0–0, and you will be awarded points based on the point scoring system accordingly. You could be lucky or unlucky, but it could help you stay in touch with the leaders of the season league table!!

its not affected anything as i did crap with todays results. it just set me on panic mode when my predictions had all been wiped. theyre back now though. :)

sportbilly. whats wrong with this site? i logged in to check my predictions and it said i havent predicted anything. considering i predicted 1-1 sunderland score and 2-0 to man utd i had a very good chance of getting them right and was fuming. i logged out and in again and my predictions were back. this happen to anyone else?
